It is a great idea to equip yourself with a few travel apps.  Below are five free travel apps.

I first heard about Waze on Fox5 News.  Waze is a community based travel, mapping, traffic and navigation app.  Waze also has up to the minute reports that will warn you about police (hidden and non-hidden), construction, accidents, cars on the shoulder and more.  All of the information is generated from the community of drivers and passengers on Waze.  Waze works on the Android, Apple and Windows platforms.  Get more information about Waze here.
