Your upline should be your mentor and not your boss

In network marketing sometimes your upline leader can get a little excited and go a little overboard when it comes to their downline.

Sometimes they forget that they should be a mentor and not a boss.

A mentor suggests what someone should do and sometimes gives tough love, however a mentor does not delegate the day to day tasks without enlisting the assistance of their downline.

An upline leader needs to be careful and not push their prospect or downline back into the race race or even worst make their dowline regret joining their team.

We were born with two eyes, two ears and one mouth in order to see and listen more.  This allows us to speak only when necessary.

An upline leader has to be careful not to make being a part of their organization seem eerily familiar to the job the downline is aspiring to leave one day.

In network marketing most companies have the motto of “being in business for yourself, but not by yourself”.  If your upline is constantly being “a boss,” then the downline will feel like they are on a miserable job and not in business for themselves.
